Low-VOC Flooring

CBC Corp. announces the addition of five new colors to its Lintotesta line of vinyl flooring for light- and heavy-duty commercial environments. The stone-like resilient tile flooring is now available in 33 color selections. New additions include pearl gray, soft taupe, warm neutral beige, soft spruce green and tangerine. The 17.7-foot x 17.7-foot tiles are made from 50 percent post-industrial recycled content. Low-VOC emissions can contribute to LEED credits. Tiles are 0.12 inches thick.

Biological Controls introduces the Airephase high-capacity air purification system for removal and irradiation of infectious airborne pathogens and contaminants. It utilizes germicidal UVC lamps for use as in-line duct connections or for the recirculation of air within large volume areas.

Units can be portable or stationary with power requirements of 115V or 230V and are capable of providing as many as 13 air changes per hour in a 12,000-cubic-foot space. Airephase is intended for areas that require constant air filtration or for negative and positive pressure isolation areas.

The new MedAir 2200 from the ENMET Corporation is a compressed air line analyzer designed for hospitals to monitor carbon monoxide and dew point of compressed air that comes in contact with patients. The product offers 4-20 mA outputs, relays, and RS 232/RS 485. The monitor is UL approved to UL 60601-1, IEC 60601-1 and CSA 22.2 No. 601.1.

The manufacturer produces other gas sensors, such as toxic, combustible and oxygen detectors; compressed-breathing air monitors; and portable and fixed multi-point systems for a wide range of hazardous gases.

Perma Pure’s MD-Series and MDH-Series dryers remove excess water vapor to keep TOC analyzers in laboratory, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, water and industrial applications free from damage and inaccurate results. Using patented Nafion membrane technology, the dryers selectively remove only water vapor from gas samples, leaving the carbon dioxide concentration intact for TOC measurement.

From Phoenix Controls, the Traccel Room Controller is designed for use in variable air volume temperature control applications where consistently directional airflow is critical. The controller maintains an offset between the volume air being supplied to the room and the volume being exhausted, thus maintaining room pressurization and directional airflow.

The device comes from the factory with an on-board microprocessor that holds 48-point flow characterization curves for the supply and exhaust valves serving the room.
