Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center physician Raymond L. Ebarb, MD, FAAFP, has been named president of the New York State Academy of Family Physicians (NYSAFP). As the organization’s chief officer for the year, Dr. Ebarb is responsible for administrating and implementing policies. He holds 25 years of experience in family medicine and was a founding partner of Great South Bay Family Medical Practice in West Sayville, N.Y.

Health care construction specialist Troy Stutz is the new project executive at RJM Construction, where he will provide project leadership on large assignments with a focus on health care projects. A 25-year industry veteran, Stutz is an experienced project manager specializing in preconstruction, construction planning, scheduling and estimating for health care facilities. Most recently, he served as project manager for a local general contractor.

Richard Onken, AIA, EDAC, one of the new vice presidents for Leo A Daly, is an architect and senior project manager with 23 years of federal and health care planning and design experience. His project portfolio includes new construction and renovation of medical centers, hospitals, clinics and specialty facilities.

Deputy Vice-Mayor Angeleta Gray has been chosen to serve as commissioner for the Health Care District of Palm Beach County Board of Commissioners in Palm Springs, Fla. During her term, Gray will assist the district in ensuring that access is available to a comprehensive health care system and that the delivery of quality services is provided for the residents of Palm Beach County. She has been a member of the Delray Beach City Commission since 2009.
Jim Noble, senior vice president and chief financial officer at Huntington Memorial Hospital, located in Pasadena, Calif., has been promoted to executive vice president, chief operating officer/chief financial officer, where he will oversee all of the hospital’s acute operations, as well as information technology, finance, ambulatory services and physician strategies.
McCarthy Building Companies Inc. recently promoted Ben Johanneman to vice president of operations at its Houston office. Having served the company for nearly 13 years, Johanneman eventually became one of the youngest project directors in the firm. Specializing in health care construction, he has worked on several high-profile projects in Houston, including the Alkek tower expansion project for the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
As of April, pharmacist and clinical scientist Joseph B. Guglielmo will be the new dean of University of California San Francisco’s School of Pharmacy, where he’ll be shaping up the course of therapeutic sciences, pharmacy education, patient care and health policy. Having served as the school’s interim dean since July 2012, Guglielmo also led its Department of Clinical Pharmacy as the Thomas A. Oliver Chair in Clinical Pharmacy.
