Sandy McElligott
FKP Architects hired Sandy McElligott as its new senior consultant. As a former executive of the Texas Children’s Hospital, McElligott brings 26 years of health care delivery experience. She most recently was responsible for successfully administrating the opening of the new 15-story, $575 million Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women, which was designed by FKP Architects.


Fearon Melton has joined MB Real Estate Inc. as senior associate in the firm’s health care division in Chicago. In her new role, Melton is responsible for performing financial analysis, market analysis, valuation modeling and due diligence for potential acquisitions. She will also be involved in the underwriting and risk analysis for the early stages of development opportunities.
McCarthy Building Companies Inc. hired Jennifer Bradshaw as director of business development for health care. In her new position, Bradshaw will be responsible for identifying new health care projects for the Central Division of McCarthy and forming strong relationships with new industry and community partners.
HKS Healthcare Group, the health care practice of HKS Inc., named Jeff Stouffer, AIA, director. Stouffer has 27 years of experience in designing health care facilities in the U.S. and abroad. As the practice leader for academic and pediatric health facilities, he was responsible for master planning, programming and design of regional and national projects totaling more than $10 billion in construction.
McCarthy Building Companies Inc. promoted Doug Mangers from project director to vice president operations – health care for the firm’s headquarters in St. Louis. Mangers, who began working for the company straight out of college, holds more than 17 years experience with McCarthy and has completed health care projects throughout the country.
The Missner Group, a Skokie, Ill.-based company that offers real estate development and construction services in industrial, health care, automobile and commercial settings, has announced Drue Stoehr as the new vice president of construction. Stoehr is now responsible for the scheduling, production and presentation of the firm’s construction services and operations. He previously served as project manager for the firm.
Paul A. Salles has been named the next president and CEO of the Louisiana Hospital Association (LHA). Salles will assume his role or representing Louisiana’s hospitals and health systems on Jan. 1, 2014. In his new position, Salles will work closely with the Louisiana Hospital Association Board of Trustees and membership on the development and implementation of the strategic vision for the association.
Tyler Vassar has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer of Erdman, a health care consulting, facility planning, development and design-build company based in Madison, Wis. Vassar brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in areas including direct and indirect expense management, client fulfillment and cost productivity.
The American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) has named Michael Zarski executive director. Formerly the executive director of American Osteopathic Information Association, Zarski brings with him a long and distinguished career with medical associations, according to AAHKS. Zarski has also served as chief information officer for the American Osteopathic Association and senior legislative counsel for the American Medical Association.
Mark Henderson, AIA, has joined AECOM’s Houston office to lead the firm’s architecture, engineering and planning practices serving the health care market. With more than 28 years of experience, Henderson has worked on health science centers, teaching hospitals and academic medical centers for such clients as the University of Texas, Harris Health System, Duke University, Providence Health System and the University of Washington.
