Mark O’Halla was recently promoted to McLaren Health Care COO after working as CEO of McLaren Macomb, a 288-bed acute care hospital in Mount Clemens, Mich. In his new role, O’Halla will oversee all of the McLaren Health Care organization’s hospital and related subsidiary operations, including McLaren Medical Group. O’Halla will work to establish system-wide goals with regard to quality outcomes, patient experience initiatives and financial performance.
Christina Force, LEED AP BD+C, AIA, has joined the St. Louis office of HOK as medical planner in the health care practice. Force will plan and program interior spaces for health care clients. She is currently working on the BJC HealthCare and Washington University School of Medicine Medical Center Campus Renewal in St. Louis and the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Neb.
Heery International has promoted architect William “Steve” Hart to vice president. Hart, who first joined Heery in 1995, currently heads Heery’s interior design studio in Atlanta where he specializes in corporate, higher education and health care interiors. Hart has spent the last 20 years working both as a designer and project manager.
Mike Palmer has joined the Minneapolis office of Knutson Construction as a project manager. Palmer has nearly 30 years of experience in the construction industry and has worked on dozens of health care projects. Most recently, Palmer worked at a Minnesota-based construction company as a project manager. He has earned professional certification from the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) and from the American Hospital Association as a certified health care constructor.
Troy Evans has been named the new CEO and president of DC2 Healthcare. Evans launched his career in health care shortly after leaving his 10-year career with the NFL. Before joining DC2 Healthcare, he served on leadership teams at OrthoKinect, a medical device manufacturer, and Healthcare Contracting Solutions, a firm that negotiates better payer care contracts for providers. The former linebacker officially started in his new position Feb. 1.
Trish Jones has joined Shen Milson & Wilke as senior associate for medical planning. With 30 years of health care procurement and equipment planning experience, Jones has been responsible for managing teams in all phases of the equipment planning process for various hospitals. Previously, Jones served as vice president of equipment planning services for Medequip International.
Array Architects welcomed Anthony Caputo, LEED AP, as principal and practice leader for the health care design firm’s Northeast region. With 15 years of experience in health care design, Caputo’s commitment to excellence in developing and implementing design concepts is seen through his multitude of successful projects across the country, touching every service line, according to the company.
Knutson Construction has named Tom Wood project executive. In his 11 years with Knutson’s project management team, Wood has contributed to dozens of hospitals and health care projects of various sizes and specialties, according to the firm. His most recent project was as senior project manager on the Mother Baby Center in Minneapolis.
Greg Hamilton, an architect and health care specialist, has joined the Philadelphia practice of Stantec as a senior associate. With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, Hamilton primarily assists in building projects for hospitals and health care networks. In his new position, Hamilton will help the firm develop new business within the health care market.
Paul Rollins, PE, LEED AP, has joined Boston-based Bond as project executive. Rollins brings with him 30 years of experience in academic, health care and biotech industries. Rollins’ past health care clients include Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, Baystate Medical Center, Heywood Hospital and North Shore Medical Center.
