BayCare Health System, based in Clearwater, Fla., named industry veteran Tim Thompson as its chief information officer. Thompson will be responsible for implementing the company’s strategic information initiatives. He will also oversee Baycare’s transition to electronic medical records for clinical information.

He will work in the firm’s Los Angeles health and science studio and lead activities in the western United States and Asia.
