The tower is part of a broader $100 million expansion and renovation program that includes a three-story, 117,000-square-foot addition and roughly 25,000 square feet of remodel work. The expansion and renovation began with a groundbreaking ceremony in September 2023.
“It’s not often that a community the size of Bolivar has the opportunity to celebrate the opening of a new hospital, and we’re excited to share this milestone,” said Michael Calhoun, CEO and executive director of CMH and Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation, according to an article from Citizens Memorial Hospital.
Calhoun also positioned the event as a preview of newly built clinical environments, noting the public will be able to see patient rooms and care spaces before move-in.
