$233 Million Hospital Planned in Illinois

DEERFIELD, Ill. — Centegra Health System announced plans for the new Centegra Hospital, a $233 million full-service acute-care facility that will be located on Centegra’s existing healthcare campus in Huntley, Ill. Centegra plans to submit a certificate of need with the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board to build a 360,000-square foot, 128-bed facility on the property that the company purchased in 2006.

The facility will include private patient rooms, a full-service emergency department, and Level II nursery, non-invasive cardiology services, a helipad, and a dedicated Women’s Center. Michael S. Eesley, chief executive officer for Centegra, pointed to population growth as the qualifier for additional inpatient beds in the region.

The project has the potential to create 800 construction jobs and have an estimated economic impact of $152 million on area communities.

“We are invested in this region and we are excited to play an active role in its growth in the years to come," Eesley said.
