BUFFALO, N.Y. — Initial design plans for an $80 million hospital and outpatient surgery center have been unveiled, according to reports.

The project will add to a cluster of new buildings reshaping health care in Buffalo and the downtown landscape. Construction is already under way on a $291 million, 10-story vascular care and medical research facility.

Montana Hospital Project Wins Initial Approval

KALISPELL, Mont. — An expansion plan for Kalispell Regional Medical Center received initial approval from the Kalispell City Council earlier this week.

The City Council unanimously approved the first reading of a planned unit development overlay zoning district on ten acres for Northwest Healthcare.

The $42 million hospital expansion will include a three-floor surgical services tower with the ability to add to more floors.

Wisconsin Hospital Project Set to Break Ground

LA CROSSE, Wis. — Gundersen Lutheran Hospital will begin construction on its new 400,000-square-foot hospital building on the South Side of La Crosse in early January, officials announced. The new building and renovation of the existing structures is reputed to be one of the largest healthcare construction projects in the region slated to begin next year.
 
The project will be built in phases over eight years but the first phase will be completed in 2014.

Utah Clinic Awaits Construction Financing

MONTICELLO, Utah — Construction will begin on a new physician clinic adjacent to the San Juan Hospital in Monticello as soon as bonds are sold to fund the project, officials announced. The Utah Community Impact Board is expected to purchase $1,180,000 in Lease Revenue bonds this week.
 
Eaton Architects designed the clinic and Tri-Hurst/Hogan Construction is handling construction.
 
The 10,440-square-foot, two story clinic is expected to be complete by October of 2011.
