Modified Bitumen Roofing System

Republic Powdered Metals Inc., a developer and manufacturer of coatings and membrane for roofs and walls, adds the Permaroof modified bitumen system to its product line. The new line’s membranes, base sheets and ply sheets are available in hot asphalt, cold adhesive, or self-stick assemblies. The membranes are fiberglass or polyester reinforced, providing added strength and tear resistance. UL classification provides a specific level of fire protection. No hot adhesives or torches are required for application, making the application safe and clean.

The ply sheets are polymer modified, trilaminate reinforced and glass-fiber reinforced that resist rotting, tearing and splitting. Adhesives are low odor, and the asbestos-free composition makes them an excellent alternative for use in otherwise restricted areas such as hospitals.
