KISSIMMEE, Fla. — To meet the increasing health care demands of the growing community, Florida Hospital Kissimmee (FHK) recently broke ground on a three-story patient tower. The 80-bed, 94,000-square-foot patient tower will double the size of the current hospital.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida’s College of Medicine is one step closer to adding a new feather to its cap when it announced the selection of a construction manager for its new Harrell Medical Education Building. The school awarded a $30.3 million contract to Florida firm Charles Perry Partners, Inc. (CPPI).
SLIDELL, La. — Ground has been broken for the emergency department and cardiology expansion project at Slidell Memorial Hospital, a 182-bed acute care facility.
The architect is Sizeler Thompson Brown Architects. KLMK Group Inc. is providing program management services.
All phases of the $25 million project are scheduled to be completed in 2013.
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Officials broke ground on a $53 million expansion program For Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. The expansion will double the size of the hospital’s existing emergency room to 30,000 square feet as well as significantly expand the size of the current heart and vascular institute tower. The new building will connect to the existing radiation and oncology buildings.
