Safety Technology International Inc. announces a pull station cover with a spacer that mounts directly to the wall over an existing pull station with an exposed conduit.

When the cover is lifted, a self-contained alarm sounds, which draws immediate attention to the area. The prankster will either run or be caught, helping to prevent a false fire alarm. When service to the pull station is required, the cover’s 9-volt internal alarm may be deactivated. The alarm comes in a piercing 105 dB or a softer 95 dB. The cover does not restrict legitimate fire alarms from being activated.

Fire-Lite Alarms introduces the MS-9600LS, a two-loop advanced addressable fire alarm control panel. Suitable for retrofit projects, the control panel communicates to devices over standard, unshielded fire wire up to 10,000 feet, allowing conventional systems to be updated to addressable systems without replacing the wire.

The system uses high-speed communications called LiteSpeed that simultaneously poll 10 devices. The panel features more room for wiring with a larger enclosure and new chassis that can be removed quickly with just two screws.
