Jeanne Qiu, AIA, CDT, LEED AP, has joined the St. Louis office of HOK as a lab planner in the firm’s Science + Technology practice. In her new position, Qiu will be responsible for the planning, programming and design of lab spaces for both university and corporate clients. She is currently working on the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) lab design in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia and the office and lab space for BioGenerator in the CORTEX district in St. Louis.
Mark Dooley has been named the new president and CEO of Wilson Memorial Hospital. Currently the president of Clinton Memorial Hospital, Dooley will begin his new position June 16. Dooley brings with him 18 years of health care leadership experience. While at Clinton Memorial, Dooley oversaw the hospital’s expansion across Clinton County and beyond with several new outpatient facilities in both family medicine and several other specialties.
Shen Milsom & Wilke has hired Michael Roering as a health care IT specialist. Roering, a technology consultant with 26 years of experience, holds expertise in project management, team development and client relations in health care, industrial, higher education, research and development, pharmaceutical and commercial markets.
Heery International has promoted architect William “Steve” Hart to vice president. Hart, who first joined Heery in 1995, currently heads Heery’s interior design studio in Atlanta where he specializes in corporate, higher education and health care interiors. Hart has spent the last 20 years working both as a designer and project manager.
Christina Force, LEED AP BD+C, AIA, has joined the St. Louis office of HOK as medical planner in the health care practice. Force will plan and program interior spaces for health care clients. She is currently working on the BJC HealthCare and Washington University School of Medicine Medical Center Campus Renewal in St. Louis and the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Neb.
University of Colorado Health (UCHealth) named Elizabeth (Liz) B. Concordia president and CEO beginning in September of this year. Concordia comes to UCHealth from University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) where she served as the executive vice president and the president of UPMC’s hospital and community services division.
Adventist HealthCare (AHC) has named Terry Forde its new president and CEO. Forde was chosen as interim chief after the departure of former CEO Bill Robertson but had joined Adventist HealthCare in July 2011. He had previously served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer at AHC where he oversaw the growth of AHC in Maryland. Prior to that, Forde served for eight years as an executive with Centura Health.
Mark O’Halla was recently promoted to McLaren Health Care COO after working as CEO of McLaren Macomb, a 288-bed acute care hospital in Mount Clemens, Mich. In his new role, O’Halla will oversee all of the McLaren Health Care organization’s hospital and related subsidiary operations, including McLaren Medical Group. O’Halla will work to establish system-wide goals with regard to quality outcomes, patient experience initiatives and financial performance.
