SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Christus Santa Rosa Health System, a nonprofit, Catholic faith-based health system, plans to open freestanding emergency centers in New Braunfels and San Antonio in an attempt to provide better access to emergency services.
The San Antonio location will be an 11,000-square-foot, 10-bed facility. The New Braunfels facility, at 12,000 square feet, will also house 10 beds. Both are expected to open later this year.

ST. LOUIS — A new $72 million four-level addition is scheduled for summer completion at Chambersburg Hospital, an affiliate of Summit Health located in Chambersburg, Pa.
The new tower will include 174,000 square feet of new construction and 4,100 square feet of renovated space.

RICHMOND, Va. — The new Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, a 183,000-square foot replacement hospital for a tornado-ravished facility, recently opened its doors in Americus, Ga.
On March 1, 2007, an EF-3 tornado hit the city of Americus causing millions of dollars in damage to the community — including the destruction of the Sumter Regional Hospital, owned and operated by the Americus & Sumter County Hospital Authority.
