Lexmark is introducing two new series of printers, the C530 color laser series and the E series, a monochrome printer series. The C530 series includes new features such as the Eco-Mode function, which minimizes power consumption and paper waste. It also includes 7,000-page color toner cartridges that can lower the cost of printing per page.
Liberty Building Systems has acquired exclusive rights to manufacture and market the Snap-It architectural standing seam metal roof system. The product is a 16-inch wide roof and fascia panel system whose edges snap together to form 1-inch high seams without requiring a mechanical seaming device. The roof system requires a 3:12 inch pitch and 5/8 inch wood or 22-gauge metal deck with a weatherproofing underlayment.
The company will supply panels in lengths from 3 feet up to 45 feet long and in 26-gauge fluted or 24-gauge fluted or flat facings.
Shield, from Panaz Textiles and offered by InPro Corporation, eliminates microbes. Originally developed in the UK, Shield technology uses positively charged silane-based molecules that modify the fabric it protects. Instead of leeching into the surrounding fabric, the protective molecules remain permanently fixed to the fabric. When microbes come into contact with the fabric, the application destroys the cell.
Graham-Field Health Products introduces the Everest Lite Power Wheelchair by Everest & Jennings. The feature-rich chair disassembles quickly, without tools, into four components that weigh less than 35 lb. each. The chair features flip-back, adjustable width arms; a one-piece, flip-up footboard; black seat and back; 250 lb. weight capacity; and limited lifetime warranty on the frame.
The chair is available with red or blue cowl, and programmable PGDT VR2 controls provide maneuverability.

It features graphics tools that provide building management capabilities from the analysis of facility alarms, to gathering and managing the critical data needed for day-to-day operations and energy management.
Graphics can be created, modified and re-used for any facility, and can be developed without extensive training, according to the company.

The KwikPeek from Wireless Imaging LLC is a wireless battery-powered camera. According to the company, the camera systems can operate for several months on just one set of AA batteries. The camera is also designed to shut off automatically based on the chosen timer settings. It can serve a variety of security and monitoring functions, and the system can send wireless video more than 300 feet through walls and floors to any TV.
The system takes less than 10 minutes to set up, can operate up to four cameras on one system, and includes a long-range, RF, handheld remote control unit.

Fi-Foil Company Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of energy-efficient reflective insulation and radiant barriers, has developed a new “tape-tab” version of its VR Plus Shield High-Perm, a multi-layer reflective insulation designed specifically for furred-out masonry walls. High-Perm, a three-layer reflective insulation commonly used on 1-5/8-inch metal hat channel, has an R-value of 7.0.
Normally the insulation is installed using a spray adhesive to secure the tabs to metal furring.
