Masonry Wall Insulation

Fi-Foil Company Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of energy-efficient reflective insulation and radiant barriers, has developed a new “tape-tab” version of its VR Plus Shield High-Perm, a multi-layer reflective insulation designed specifically for furred-out masonry walls. High-Perm, a three-layer reflective insulation commonly used on 1-5/8-inch metal hat channel, has an R-value of 7.0.

Normally the insulation is installed using a spray adhesive to secure the tabs to metal furring. However, the new tape-tab version features double-sided tape on each side for quick installation on metal furring. The convenient tape tabs replace the need for spray adhesives.
