The Maquet PowerLED II is a surgical light designed for operating-room applications. The system incorporates features intended to support visual performance and positioning during procedures, including adjustable light-patch diameter, a laser positioning guide and ambient lighting options. The electronically adjustable light patch can range from 13 to 27 centimeters, allowing users to match illumination to the size of the surgical site and reduce peripheral glare. Its Comfort Light feature is designed to reduce the contrast between the surgical site and surrounding areas, with the goal of reducing glare and visual fatigue. The system also provides stable illumination and six ambient-light color options intended to help manage contrast and monitor glare. Getinge has incorporated an antibacterial coating on high-touch surfaces, including touchscreens, keypads and external handles.
