Seleem Choudhury, DNP, RN, will begin his new role as president and CEO of UChicago Medicine AdventHealth GlenOaks in Glendale Heights, Ill., on June 15. Choudhury brings two decades of experience in academic and community hospital settings and joins UChicago Medicine AdventHealth from Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center, where he has served as chief operations officer since 2021. His other previous roles include chief nursing officer for New York City Health and Hospitals, senior vice president of executive clinical network operations for the University of Vermont Health Network, president of Porter Medical Center and vice president of professional services for Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital. Choudhury completed his bachelor’s degree in nursing from Middlesex University in the United Kingdom. He later earned a Master of Nursing and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix as well as a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Vermont. He is a fellow of the Academy of Emergency Nursing and a graduate of the Baldrige Executive Fellows Program.
