Susan O’Hara
Designer and educator Susan O’Hara recently joined the consulting team at NBBJ Design, a Seattle-based architecture and planning firm focused on connecting communities through dynamic ideas. O’Hara brings 40 years of experience in academia and healthcare to her new role, where she will lead the firm’s clinical innovation projects through evidence-based design. Most recently, O’Hara served as an assistant professor of clinical nursing at Ohio State University.
O’Hara runs her own healthcare consultancy specializing in architectural healthcare programming and design. She has presented at conferences discussing the intersection of healthcare, architecture and computer simulation modeling. A published researcher, O’Hara’s work has appeared in award-winning journals such as the Health Environments Research & Design Journal.
