DUBAI, U.A.E.—Prime Healthcare Group recently broke ground on a Stantec-designed specialty hospital at Dubai Healthcare City. A transformative addition to this health and well-being destination, the nine-story, approximately 355,000-square-foot, 150-bed facility will offer advanced non-invasive, diagnostic, and interventional procedures, and specialized rehabilitation. The hospital will be home to three centers of excellence—the Marie Curie Cancer Centre, Heart Care Center of Excellence, and the Lung Care Centre of Excellence.

While the new hospital will offer specialized diagnosis, care, and treatment of complex heart, lung, and cancer conditions, it will also offer services in urology, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, gynecology, gastroenterology, and will employ leading-edge treatment technologies-specialized robotic surgery, hybrid operating rooms, and hybrid catheterization labs.

The hospital will include three verticals for medical, radiation and surgical purposes. The three centers of excellence are the Marie Curie Center which will offer advanced radiological services for cancer care to patients.

The Heart Care Center of Excellence will offer a range of invasive, non-invasive diagnostic procedures, as well as interventional procedures for coronary disease, valve disorders, structural heart disorders, and arrhythmias. The center will offer a cardiac health management program with advanced technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions. The hospital would also offer cardiac rehabilitation services in addition to electrophysiology, cardiac physiology, and complex cardiac interventions.
