LAS VEGAS—The Fertility Center of Las Vegas and Nevada-based design-build general contractor, SR Construction, officially broke ground in late April on the brand-new Fertility Center of Las Vegas in southern Nevada. The facility, which will be located at the intersection of Hacienda Avenue and Durango Drive, will house a state-of-the-art fertility clinic.

“We are honored to have broken ground on the new home for the Fertility Center of Las Vegas,” said Doctor Bruce Shapiro with The Fertility Center of Las Vegas. “Our clinic, currently located on Sahara, was the first infertility practice to open in Las Vegas in 1988. Since then, we have provided unparalleled care to patients from all around the world. It is exciting to be starting construction on our future location and we look forward to continuing to help families grow for many years to come.”

The groundbreaking ceremony began with opening remarks from Jeff Northrup, senior vice president of preconstruction from SR Construction who spoke about the project and what it will offer to patients once completed. Additional speakers included: Dr. Bruce Shapiro, Dr. Carrie Bedient and Dr. Leah Kaye from The Fertility Center of Las Vegas.

The project will consist of the ground-up construction of an 18,500-square-foot facility and complete development of the site including the installation of site utilities and traffic signals, and other offsite improvements. The center, which will be a part of a nearly 4.5-acre commercial property, will house an ambulatory surgery center, laboratory and fertility clinic. Construction is expected to be completed by mid-2022. Additional project partners include: PGAL Architects, Lochsa Engineering, John Jones Landscape Architecture, Wright Engineers and MSA Engineers.
