ATLANTA — Soliant Health recently revealed on June 23 its Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals in the U.S. for 2014. The specialty health care staffing provider, part of Adecco Group, named McKay-Dee Hospital Center in Ogden, Utah, the winner.
OAKLAND, Calif. — Kaiser Permanente opened a new medical center on Tuesday in central Oakland, the headquarter city where the nonprofit health care system was founded nearly 70 years ago.
The new, 12-story, 349-bed Oakland Medical Center is directly across the street from the medical center it replaces. The hospital sits on the corner of Broadway and MacArthur Boulevard.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC) is eliminating tobacco use in every facet of its operations. Starting July 1, all tobacco products, including e-cigarettes will be banned. A year later, the hospital will stop hiring smokers.
SAVANNAH, Ga. — HealthSouth Corporation and Memorial Health have agreed to build a new, 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital to be known as the Rehabilitation Hospital of Savannah. The health care organizations will initially oversee the operations at Memorial Health’s current 50-bed Rehabilitation Institute.
Expected to open in 2016, the new facility will be built on property located on Seawright Drive between Benedictine Military School and SouthCoast Medical Group. The $25 million project is under review by the Georgia Department of Community Health.
