Air Filter

Camfil Farr, manufacturer of air filters, introduces the ASHRAE grade pocket filter designed to allow low operating costs, long service life and the ability to operate without a pre-filter. The Hi-Flo ES, a high lofted, air laid micro fiberglass media, enables the filter to consume 27 percent to 50 percent less HVAC energy, according to the company. Controlled media spacing allows the Hi-Flo ES to work with a lower sustained pressure drop, while a front-to-back pocket taper makes the filter resistant to tearing or other damages. The product’s performance is also unaffected by dust or humidity and with fewer filter changes needed, savings in maintenance are significant, according to company officials. Three to four of the Hi Flo filters fit in the same space as one rigid filter, reducing related landfill cost and carbon footprint by 70 percent.
