BayCare Health System, based in Clearwater, Fla., named industry veteran Tim Thompson as its chief information officer. Thompson will be responsible for implementing the company’s strategic information initiatives. He will also oversee Baycare’s transition to electronic medical records for clinical information.
“Tim offers an effective balance between IS operations and strategic thinking,” says Tommy Inzina, chief administrative officer with the health system, noting that during his career, Thompson has implemented EMR’s in more than 30 hospitals.
