GROUNDING DEVICE

A new product from Electro Static Technology is designed to improve the reliability of HVAC/R systems by dramatically extending the life of AC motors commonly used in HVAC/R systems to drive fans, air pumps, chillwater pumps, compressors and other air-handling equipment. The device protects bearings from the electrical damage commonly incurred when currents discharge through the motor bearings, causing frosting, pitting, fusion craters and fluting. These kinds of damages can lead to noise that travels throughout a building’s ductwork, motor failure, or even system failure.

The AEGIS SGR Conductive MicroFiber Shaft Grounding Brush is specifically designed to prevent the noise, motor failure and system failure that can result from un-grounded harmful shaft current. Installation involves sliding the brush over either end of the motor shaft and locking it in place with screw-on mounting brackets. the microfibers are designed to work with virtually no friction or wear, and to last for the life of the motor.
