The Vermont Association of Hospitals and Health Systems recently named Jeffrey Tieman as the organization’s new president and CEO. Tieman is currently chief of staff at the Catholic Health Association in Washington and will begin his new position in late August. Tieman earned a master’s degree in professional studies from George Washington University and attended Colorado College.

Alvin H. Butz Inc., a construction services company based in Allentown, Pa., announced the hiring of Steven Butz as a project engineer. Butz is a member of the sixth generation of Butz builders. He has served the company as an assistant project manager since 2011 and holds a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, construction option, from Pennsylvania State University.

Kristine A. Harding, NCARB, AIA, was recently inaugurated as the 97th president of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). In this new role, Harding architect will lead NCARB and its 54 U.S. licensing boards, which serve more than 40,000 NCARB certified architects and 41,000 licensure candidates.
Architectural products manufacturer, Kane Innovations Inc., based in Pennsylvania, has hired Mac Hines as vice president of sales for all Kane Innovations brands. In this role he will oversee all sales and marketing activity for Sterling Dula Railings, Kane Security Screens, Kane Detention and Kane Fabrications. Hines is a building materials veteran and brings 23 years of sales and marketing experience to the team.
Parkland Health & Hospital System has named David Lopez as the permanent Executive Chief Operating Officer (COO) after serving as the interim COO for almost four months. Much of his career has been spent working in public health systems and he shows a commitment to the public health care mission in Texas. Lopez served as COO for four years and CEO for nine years for the Harris County Hospital District in Houston.
