New Pregnancy Program Opens at Columbus Regional Health

COLUMBUS, Ga. — Columbus Regional Health in Columbus opened its new Centering Pregnancy Program on May 10. The program was made possible from an undisclosed grant from the March of Dimes organization. March of Dimes reported that the state of Georgia currently has a high premature birthrate of around 10.8 percent, and with the new program, pregnant women will be able to get the care and answers about their pregnancies that they need.

GREENVILLE, S.C. — The patients of Greenville Health System are now able to access care via computer, smartphone or tablet this month as the health system rolls out its new telecare system. The system not only allows patients access to their information, but it also allows patients with minor illnesses such as bladder infections, sore throats, ear pain or sinus infections to be examined through SmartExam, the hospital’s telemedicine portal.

Hendricks Regional Health Acquires Land for New Emergency Center

BROWNSBURG, Ind. — Hendricks Regional Health announced the purchase of vacant farmland for the location of its new emergency room and outpatient center on the eastern side of Brownsburg. The facility, which is estimated to cost $48 million, will be a 100,000-square-foot retail health care center, according to a statement from Hendricks Regional Health.
