Prison Health Care Facility Takes Shape in California
STOCKTON, Calif. — Construction is progressing on schedule at the site of a new medical and mental health care facility for inmates in the California state prison system. The California Health Care Facility (CHCF) in Stockton, Calif.


“Health care for inmates! Really? I didn’t know they received health care. Guess I never really thought about it.”
According to Andrew Quirk of Skanska USA, the next few years will see more hospital construction — by as much as 10 percent by 2015. Following the major downturn of 2008, Quirk predicted a major “upside for design and construction of health care space” over the next few years.
