Fred Rahmanian

Geneia LLC, a health care innovations company specializing in the development and deployment of clinical, analytic and technical solutions for health care, has hired Fred Rahmanian as its new head of technology. Geneia is a subsidiary of Capital BlueCross and located in Swatara Township, Pa. Rahmanian, a data scientist and software architect, comes to Geneia from Massachusetts-based health care data company IBM Watson Health, where he served as the principal data scientist. With more than 20 years of health care experience, Rahmanian has previously filled leadership roles with internationally recognized companies such as KPMG, a professional services company and Siemens Healthcare, which focuses on medical technology. He received a master’s degree in software engineering from the University of Maryland University College. He also has a graduate certificate in health informatics and health care information technology from Columbia University, where he continues to be a guest lecturer.
