Health care industry veteran, Brenda Traweek has been named chief operating officer for the Brookwood Medical Center. Having previously served as vice president of operations and assistant vice president of surgical services, Traweek has worked with Brookwood since 2003. Most recently, she held the position of vice president of the hospital’s patient care services, where she was responsible for the operational and financial management of the nursing division.
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Humility of Mary Health Partners unveiled its new St. Elizabeth Robotic Surgery Center, which is part of a larger renovation project. The cosmetic upgrades to the unit are estimated at $125,000 and came on the heels of a $2.5 million investment in surgical equipment earlier this year.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Regional Medical Center at Memphis (MED) Board of Directors unanimously approved resolutions that will allow the hospital to proceed with an expansion plan. Approval from the Tennessee Health Services Development Agency is the next step in process to update the facility.
