Modular Elevator
Ready-to-use elevator systems from Modular Elevator Manufacturing Inc. can be customized and designed to fit two- to seven-story exterior applications in new or existing projects. MEM elevators feature digital controls and fully equipped steel cars. The pre-assembled elevator towers are constructed from welded tubular steel. Priced below conventional elevator systems, each product installs in one day and requires very little maintenance, according to the company.
Air Filter
Camfil Farr, manufacturer of air filters, introduces the ASHRAE grade pocket filter designed to allow low operating costs, long service life and the ability to operate without a pre-filter. The Hi-Flo ES, a high lofted, air laid micro fiberglass media, enables the filter to consume 27 percent to 50 percent less HVAC energy, according to the company. Controlled media spacing allows the Hi-Flo ES to work with a lower sustained pressure drop, while a front-to-back pocket taper makes the filter resistant to tearing or other damages.

The collection includes three fixed, three hand-held showers, and nine combination showers. All are available in polished chrome and brushed nickel. Refresh showerheads feature a 360 degree spray technology, allowing the showerheads to achieve a 360-degree rotation to the spray adjusting mechanism, handle or faceplate.

Kathryn A. Brucker
Kathryn A. Brucker was recently hired at Spellman Brady & Company as the firm’s new senior designer and project manager. Brucker is responsible for leading Spellman Brady’s artwork team, as well as managing the company’s artwork master planning projects. She is a certified interior designer by the National Council for Interior Design Qualifications and a certified LEED-accredited professional by the U. S.
Final Phase Completed at Tampa General Hospital
TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa General Hospital (TGH) recently announced the final phase of construction at its facility — a $35 million neonatal intensive care unit that will provide more patient rooms and a new transition nursery.
Part of the funding for the Jennifer Leigh Muma Neonatal Intensive Care Unit was contributed by Pam and Les Muma, who lost their daughter, Jennifer Leigh, in the 1970s while in the NICU.

OAK PARK, Ill. — Advocate Christ Medical Center has selected HDR Architects to design its new nine-story outpatient care and research pavilion on its Oak Park, Ill. campus. The $202 million ambulatory facility will help streamline outpatient services across the hospital and consolidate most of the institutes on the campus.
