KISSIMMEE, Fla. — To meet the increasing health care demands of the growing community, Florida Hospital Kissimmee (FHK) recently broke ground on a three-story patient tower. The 80-bed, 94,000-square-foot patient tower will double the size of the current hospital.

TORRANCE, Calif. — The new $450 million Torrance Memorial Medical Center Replacement Tower is currently being constructed at the existing Torrance Memorial Medical Center site, and it will replace the hospital’s original one, built in 1971.

Patient Tower at Panama City Hospital Completed

PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Design and consulting firm Gresham, Smith and Partners announced the completion of the Patient Tower and Central Energy Plant for Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Fla. The five-story, 200,000-square-foot tower, which Gresham designed, contains 144 private beds and replaces the medical intensive care and surgical intensive care units.

To make future expansion of the tower possible, Gresham included shelled areas on two floors to allow for expansion of the emergency department and surgery area.
