Greg Coni
Greg Coni, AIA, CPHC, a healthcare project architect at the Pittsburgh office of architecture firm GBBN, was recently awarded the 2024 Young Architect Award from the Pennsylvania chapter of the American Institute of Architects. The Young Architect Award is an honor given annually to a Pennsylvania architect who has been licensed less than 10 years, and recognizes professional achievements and future impact. Having worked on projects such as Bon Secours Mercy Health Kings Mills Hospital and Cincinnati Children’s William K. Schubert M.D. Mental Health Center, Coni was selected not only for his past work, but also for his advocacy in the areas of health equity and sustainability. In addition to his role at GBBN, Coni is a past chair of AIA Pittsburgh’s Young Architects Forum, president of the Board of Directors of the Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh and a current student mentor with the ACE Mentor program of Western Pennsylvania.
