New Six-Story Hospital Wraps in Ohio

PICKERINGTON, Ohio—Hammes, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare development, has celebrated the completion of the OhioHealth Pickerington Methodist Hospital, which opened to patients on December 6, 2023.
Hammes served as project manager for the new six-story, 220,000-square-foot hospital, which enhances and expands care to the Pickerington, Ohio area. The new hospital has 96 inpatient beds, six operating rooms, two procedure rooms, a 20-bay infusion clinic and a 12-bed ICU. Services include labor and delivery, trauma, infusion, surgery, primary care, heart and vascular care, imaging, lab, pharmacy, and rehabilitation.
Pickerington Methodist will be the first OhioHealth hospital in the central Ohio region to offer smart room technology that streamlines communication between patients and staff.
Project partners included Messer Construction and CannonDesign with Korda as the mechanical, structural and electrical engineer and EMH&T as the civil engineer.

With the completion of Pickerington Methodist Hospital, OhioHealth now has 15 hospitals throughout the state and more than 200 ambulatory sites.
