Tracy Hunt
Skanska has named Tracy Hunt, a 26-year company leader, as executive vice president and general manager overseeing the organization’s building and construction operations for the state of Florida. Hunt’s appointment to Skanska USA Building leadership team role was effective November 1.
Tracy’s career includes managing several prominent projects throughout the state of Florida, including the southeast’s first dedicated orthopedic hospital, Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute in Orlando, Florida; the transformative Coachman Park in Clearwater, Florida; and the complex construction and expansion of Lee Health Gulf Coast Medical Center.
“Having spent my entire career at Skanska, I know the impact we can have when we work together to shape society and create opportunities for each other, our clients, partners and communities,” said Hunt. “As general manager, I remain committed to achieving our corporate goals, fostering a culture of collective success and building enduring partnerships that make our communities better.”
Hunt has 28 years of experience in the construction industry, most recently serving as Senior Vice President and Account Manager for Skanska in Florida, a role he has held since 2018. In addition to his work in the industry, the husband and father of two leads Skanska’s partnership with the University of South Florida’s mentoring program designed to support the Tampa Bay region’s diverse-owned small businesses in the construction industry, serves as a board member at Carrollwood Day School, volunteers for Metropolitan Ministries and is a graduate of the 2022 class of Leadership Tampa.
Hunt is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
