AUSTIN, Texas — Construction is officially underway for the new Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin). University and state leaders gathered at the site of the future medical school Monday to unveil a new mosaic rendering of the project.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Springfield has officially opened for patients. The two-story, 63,000-square-foot hospital will provide inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal-cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries and other conditions.

WYNNEWOOD, Pa. — The Lankenau Medical Center is celebrating the recent achievement of LEED Silver certification for the sustainable design and construction of the center’s Master Facility Project. The $446 million, 600,000-square-foot project is the first health project in the region to receive LEED Silver and is the largest health care project on the East Coast to earn the green distinction, according to hospital officials.
Mark O’Halla was recently promoted to McLaren Health Care COO after working as CEO of McLaren Macomb, a 288-bed acute care hospital in Mount Clemens, Mich. In his new role, O’Halla will oversee all of the McLaren Health Care organization’s hospital and related subsidiary operations, including McLaren Medical Group. O’Halla will work to establish system-wide goals with regard to quality outcomes, patient experience initiatives and financial performance.
