Smoke Detection System
Gamewell-FCI by Honeywell launched its VLC-400 Aspirating Detector, which is designed to sense and verify the slightest trace of smoke within hospitals or nursing homes, according to the company. The system connects directly to the fire alarm and emergency communications signaling circuit. Designed for small-sized to medium-sized areas, its air sampling technology provides an early smoke warning. With no additional modules or programming required, the VLC-400 features a dual-stage filter, which keeps internal optical surfaces clean. The system also includes five different sensitivity modes and a smoke threshold auto-programming feature, which allows the detector to monitor air conditions for up to 15 days.
