Architectural Wall
KI’s Genius architectural walls are designed to offer a balance of aesthetic appeal, functional flexibility, acoustic privacy and environmental integrity. Manufactured using more than 70 percent recycled aluminum, Genius walls are 99 percent reusable and 96 percent recyclable. Genius walls are approved by the Greenguard Environmental Institute.
With a thickness of 3.5 inches and 22-gauge steel shells, Genius walls provide a sound transmission rating of 48. Increased functionality and VOC emissions reductions can be achieved by varying paint selection.
Waterless Urinal
The F-9000SS waterfree urinal from Falcon Waterfree Technologies saves approximately 40,000 gallons of water per year. The bowl is constructed of grade 304, 16-gauge stainless steel with a matte finish. It includes a patented cartridge with biodegradable sealant, which acts as a barrier against bacteria and odors.
The no-flush mechanism eliminates valve maintenance and water use costs. The urinal includes all installation hardware and an instructional DVD.
Work Begins at Calif. VA Health Center
PALO ALTO, Calif. — Approximately 150 local veterans, residents and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs employees attended the July groundbreaking for the Veteran Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System’s newest addition, an inpatient mental health center.
The ceremony was held outside the outmoded and seismically unsafe mental health center at the VA’s Palo Alto campus.
