Ice Dispensing

Follett Corporation, a manufacturer of ice-related and refrigeration equipment for the health care industry, offers SensorSAFE dispensing technology on its entire line of Symphony ice and water dispensers for on-floor patient care. The technology uses infrared sensors to detect the presence of a container below the chute before dispensing ice or water. Dispensing begins when the container is placed below the chute and stops when the container is withdrawn.


With no lever for the container to touch and no button to push, there is less possibility for cross-contamination and more convenient, one-hand filling of carafes, cups and ice bags. The dispensers are available with 12, 25, 50 or 90 pounds of storage, and with a 400-pound daily ice production capacity.
