With 14 years of experience, Lowe will lead TAYLOR’s business initiatives in the San Diego market and build upon relationships established over the years, according to the firm. The new director brings with him extensive experience in health care design and client depth in the local market.


International consulting and engineering firm Environmental Systems Design Inc. (ESD) has named Erik Nelson as the new structured cabling systems and health care technology team lead. Nelson was formerly a lead communications engineer with Jacobs Engineering Group. He has also held positions as project manager and lead designer with RTKL Architects, systems engineer with Electronic Evolutions and development engineer with Smith & Nephew.

Hagerty has built his career by leading significant health care design projects in the Washington, D.C. area for more than a quarter century.

Elmhurst, Ill.-headquartered J.C. Anderson Inc. announced that Seth Erlich has joined its team as a project executive. Erlich brings more than 17 years of experience to his new role. His responsibilities will include project management and oversight as well as business development. Prior to joining the firm, Erlich was the director of business development for Midland|Frantz Construction Group.
Alameda Health System (AHS), a nationally recognized public health care provider, appointed William T. Peruzzi, MD, SM, FCCM as chief medical officer overseeing the delivery of high quality care to AHS patients. Dr. Peruzzi, who has more than 25 years of clinical and health care administrative experience, will be based at AHS’s flagship Highland Hospital in Oakland, Calif.
The Board of Directors for Mountain States Health Alliance (MSHA) named Alan Levine president and CEO, effective Jan. 6, 2014. Levine has more than 20 years of experience in hospital operations and in public service. He has led large, complex, multi-hospital organizations as well as leading two state health systems as the senior regulator and health policy advisor to two governors.

BSA LifeStructures, an architecture and engineering firm specializing in healing, learning and discovery market segments, hired Martha Strong as a senior interior designer in its Chicago office. Strong oversaw her own interiors practice for more than 10 years and has served other interior design firms in a similar leadership role.
