HGA Architects and Engineers (HGA) has hired Michael Kennedy, AIA, LEED AP, as associate vice president and senior project designer for the health care practice group in Minneapolis. He will lead design and planning efforts and collaborate in new business development. Kennedy has more than 25 years of design leadership experience, directing project teams through all phases of master planning and design for national and international health care projects.

DENVER — The new, $623 million Saint Joseph Hospital near downtown Denver is on schedule to open Dec. 13, hospital executives said during a Sept. 16 facility tour.
HOUSTON — Memorial Hermann Health System is planning to build a $168 million hospital, expanding care to Cypress, Texas.
GERMANTOWN, Md. — Holy Cross Germantown Hospital recently opened on the Montgomery College campus in Germantown.
The $200 million facility welcomed patients on Oct. 1 as the first hospital to be built in the county in more than 35 years. The hospital is also the first in the country to be built on a community college campus and is the core of Montgomery College’s Hercules Pinkney Life Sciences Park.

On Oct. 1, the company updated its logo and announced on its website that it was changing its identity.
The company will celebrate its new branding at a reception at the Greenbuild International Conference & Expo on Oct. 22 in New Orleans.
