Mark O’Halla was recently promoted to McLaren Health Care COO after working as CEO of McLaren Macomb, a 288-bed acute care hospital in Mount Clemens, Mich. In his new role, O’Halla will oversee all of the McLaren Health Care organization’s hospital and related subsidiary operations, including McLaren Medical Group. O’Halla will work to establish system-wide goals with regard to quality outcomes, patient experience initiatives and financial performance.


ATLANTA — With a combined value of $90 million, Atlanta-headquartered Heery International has been selected to renovate and construct two health care facilities at the Seymour Johnson and Robins Air Force bases.
AKRON, Ohio — Construction on a 368,000-square-foot addition to the Akron Children’s Hospital met an important milestone on April 2 with the installation of the facility’s final support beam. The topping out ceremony was hosted two weeks earlier than expected, despite a season of harsh weather.
Christina Force, LEED AP BD+C, AIA, has joined the St. Louis office of HOK as medical planner in the health care practice. Force will plan and program interior spaces for health care clients. She is currently working on the BJC HealthCare and Washington University School of Medicine Medical Center Campus Renewal in St. Louis and the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Neb.
