FAIRFIELD, Calif. — At Monday’s opening of the new $20 million Green Valley Health Plaza, NorthBay Healthcare announced two major construction projects slated for the organization’s Fairfield and Vacaville campuses. The two new construction projects will total $180 million.
The 132-bed North Bay Medical Center in Fairfield, Calif., will undergo $140 million in upgrades and will receive a new three-story wing and lobby entrance. The VacaValley Hospital in Vacaville, Calif., will construct a $40 million, 105,000-square-foot office building.
Mike Palmer has joined the Minneapolis office of Knutson Construction as a project manager. Palmer has nearly 30 years of experience in the construction industry and has worked on dozens of health care projects. Most recently, Palmer worked at a Minnesota-based construction company as a project manager. He has earned professional certification from the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) and from the American Hospital Association as a certified health care constructor.
