Durable Metal Panels
Armstrong Ceiling & Wall Systems has expanded its portfolio of solutions for exposed structure spaces with the introduction of new MetalWorks Blades. The new addition to the Armstrong line offers an upscale linear design in the form of durable metal panels with excellent sound absorption. The 1-inch-thick blades are 4 inches by 96 inches in size and can be joined together for larger spaces. The metal blades come with two end caps, one end cap, or no end caps for maximum design flexibility. The factory-attached end caps reduce field labor. Double end-capped blades can be used to create an access area. MetalWorks Blades are available in both acoustical and non-acoustical options and spacing can be varied to accommodate a variety of design and acoustical needs. Acoustically, MetalWorks Blades’ standard perforation pattern provides 2.5 sabins of sound absorption per panel. The blades actually provide greater sound absorption than a continuous ceiling of the same surface area because sound is absorbed on both sides.
