Toilet/Urinal Flush Valve

The FreeHand High-Efficiency flush valve from Moen Inc. uses an infrared sensor to activate a flush cycle when the user is in range. The valves also feature a flow rate of 1.28 gallons per minute, a 20 percent savings over the industry standard of 1.6 gpm. For urinals, the valves use a flow rate of 0.5 gpm, 50 percent less than the industry standard.

CINCINNATI — International architectural firm Ellerbe Becket was named lead design architect for a new $150 million hospital planned for a 60-acre parcel on Cincinnati’s west side.
 
The firm will partner with Champlin Architecture, based in Cincinnati, to design the new hospital for Mercy Health Partners. The hospital will house comprehensive healthcare services, including heart and cancer, according to Ellerbe.
