Computer Security

The Model 22 HDD hard drive destruction system from Security Engineered Machinery prevents data theft by shredding used computer hard drives into unreconstructible irregularly shaped fragments. Up to 3-inch standard drives can be destroyed easily and safely at a rate of 20 per hour. The system is also designed for destroying many other items, such as hand-held electronic devices, computer backup tapes, and circuit boards.

The unit’s built-in conveyor automatically adjusts the feeding speed to prevent jamming. Up to 10 drives can be preloaded for automatic feeding. In the destruction chamber is a rotary knife mill — three knives mounted on a solid steel rotor and two stationary bed knives that cut the waste until the particles are small enough to pass through a steel sizing screen.
