Follett Corporation, a manufacturer of ice-related and refrigeration equipment for the health care industry, offers SensorSAFE dispensing technology on its entire line of Symphony ice and water dispensers for on-floor patient care. The technology uses infrared sensors to detect the presence of a container below the chute before dispensing ice or water. Dispensing begins when the container is placed below the chute and stops when the container is withdrawn.

Vegetation and growth media are placed into modules composed of 60 percent postindustrial, recycled, high-molecular-weight polyethylene. The modules come in a variety of sizes and three depths: Ultra Extensive (2.5-inch depth), Extensive (4-inch depth), and Intensive (8-inch depth).
Modules are placed on the roof, with as many as 4,000 square feet installed in a day. If the roof or rooftop mechanicals need repair, the modules can be picked up while repairs are completed and then reinstalled.
