The first 3e-6 lux ultra low-light CMOS bio-optical sensor and solution kit for portable medical and scientific instruments is now available from Anitoa Systems. Anitoa’s sensor enables the realization of a low-cost and portable medical or scientific instrument. The CMOS bio-optical sensor is a very small and ultra-sensitive image sensor IC (integrated circuit) manufactured with mature and low-cost semiconductor technology and enhanced by Anitoa’s management algorithm. Capable of 3e-6 lux detection threshold, this sensor will replace the bulky and expensive photon multiplier tubes and cooled charge-coupled devices widely used today in molecular diagnostic instruments.
