ROARING SPRING, Pa. — LifePoint Hospitals, a health care provider based in Brentwood, Tenn., and the board of directors at Nason Hospital in Roaring Spring, Pa., announced on Feb. 2 that LifePoint has finalized the acquisition of Nason Hospital.
As part of the acquisition, Nason Hospital has become part of Johnstown, Pa.-based Conemaugh Health System. Together with LifePoint and Conemaugh, Nason will enhance and expand the services it provides and work to improve health care throughout its region.

MISSOULA, Mont. — Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula is teaming up with obstetrics and gynecology physicians at Western Montana Clinic (WMC), also based in Missoula. The new program is the result of months of planning and preparation for the expanded women’s health program at St. Patrick Hospital.
For more than 90 years, WMC has been providing health care in Missoula, and the OB/GYN physician group has a combined 51 years of experience delivering specialized care to women in Western Montana. The physician group will also include midwifery services.
ATLANTA — Patient safety has been improving, according to a study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.
There was a 46 percent decrease in central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSI) between 2008 and 2013, according to a report recently released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. However, additional work is needed to continue to improve patient safety, the annual National and State Healthcare-associated Infection Progress Report shows.
