St. Luke’s Breaks Ground on New Hospital
BARTONSVILLE, Pa.— St. Luke’s University Health Network broke ground on the new St. Luke’s Hospital-Monroe Campus in Bartonsville. This will be the first new hospital in Monroe County in 100 years.

Construction Begins for UVA’s Education Resource Center
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Construction is underway for the Education Resource Center (ERC) on the University of Virginia’s (UVA) medical campus in Charlottesville.
Work Begins on CHI Ambulatory Building
OMAHA, Neb. — McCarthy Building Companies of St. Louis broke ground on May 7 on the new CHI Ambulatory Building, which is part of the new academic complex for Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha.
The $35 million, 80,000-square-foot facility will feature a new, team-based approach to health care, education and the community in one location that will serve the region. It will house the region’s first free-standing emergency department as well as outpatient and diagnostic services and community space.
Harlem Hospital Center Renovates Dental Clinic
NEW YORK — Harlem Hospital Center (HHC) celebrated the opening of its newly renovated and expanded Dr. James E. McIntosh Dental Services at Harlem Hospital Center on May 8.
The $6.3 million project brings new dentistry and imaging equipment to a clinic that handled more than 21,000 patient visits last year. The new dental clinic has also been relocated to the Samuel L. Kountz Pavilion, Mezzanine Level, at 136th Street and Fifth Avenue in New York.
Bob Steffel
The Opus Group of Minnetonka, Minn., announced the addition of Bob Steffel as director of project management. In his new role, Steffel manages the construction business for Opus Healthcare as well as supports the growth of Opus’ portfolio of work in other sectors. He is a 30-year industry veteran with construction management expertise in areas including health care, industrial, office and renewable energy. Steffel was most recently a construction executive at M.A.

A new 5-inch aperture adjustable LED downlight is now available from Nora Lighting. The latest addition to Nora’s Diamond II Retrofit Series of LED recessed fixtures, the 5-inch model is cULus listed for use in existing IC or non-IC housing from Nora and others. The luminaire features a 10.55-watt LED module, producing 650 lumens with 90+ CRI for more realistic color rendition. An adjustable gimbal rotates 356 degrees and adjusts from 0 to 40 degrees.
