MINNEAPOLIS — Hospital officials recently announced that the Hennepin County Medical Center will build a 322,000-square-foot expansion hospital in Minneapolis. The $191 million expansion to the downtown Minneapolis health care campus will include primary care clinics, specialty clinics and outpatient surgery facilities.
HOUSTON — The Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center is set to undergo a massive $650 million expansion and renovation. The recently announced master plan for the Texas Medical Center facility intends to better accommodate the growing Houston region and bring advanced medical technology to Memorial Hermann.
COLUMBUS, Ohio — OhioHealth Corp. announced that it will invest a total of $140 million over three years to improve the MedCentral Health System through capital improvements, medical equipment and physician recruiting. OhioHealth, which incorporated MedCentral Mansfield and MedCentral Shelby hospitals in March, will add an $80 million expansion at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital.

Heery International has promoted architect William “Steve” Hart to vice president. Hart, who first joined Heery in 1995, currently heads Heery’s interior design studio in Atlanta where he specializes in corporate, higher education and health care interiors. Hart has spent the last 20 years working both as a designer and project manager.
Christina Force, LEED AP BD+C, AIA, has joined the St. Louis office of HOK as medical planner in the health care practice. Force will plan and program interior spaces for health care clients. She is currently working on the BJC HealthCare and Washington University School of Medicine Medical Center Campus Renewal in St. Louis and the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Neb.
